    Apexi AFC Neo

Is this thing just a AFC but for Vtec cars?
if it is, its the cheap version of a stand alone ECU, and in which case... its a half decent investment if you cannot afford a proper ECU
wonder if it also does iVtec too.. hrmm...

    what do you guys think?

no, an AFC for VTEC cars is a "V-AFC"

the NEO does not appear to do iVTEC (but V-AFCII does)

According to the Apex Jap website....it does tinker......

They used to have different product line as VAFC and SAFC.....VAFC is for Vtec(Honda) or NA car such as Toyota....and VAFC can monitor the VVTI system in Toyota cars as well....SAFC is usually for turbo cars or car that do not have Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control system....
But the The SAFC NEO is a complete new product that combines both VAFC and SAFC in one unit....it also monitor the vtec control and also have setting for vtec unmatch.....it basically do the similar thing to VAFC....but the point is whether you wanna to buy this for basic tune or you wanna to do serious tune up for ur car.....The SAFC NEO can only do some basic tuning.....and as it only came out to the market long I assume the price wouldn't be cheap as well.....if you want some bling on ur car and not really thinking go track much...you can think about it......hope this help.....

hrm... so whats the difference between this and the VAFCII?
both monitor/change air flow control to quite a limited extent... y bring this out? wat advantage?

the vafc is pretty useless... or is this also another useless product that apexi have brought out again...

i agree, the VAFCII is kinda pointless...
after reading this product, it seems pointless too...
just another product for wank factor

i mean if they have to list these
              - Completely new case design
              - Compact design
              - Incorporates both AFC and VAFC functions in one unit
              - 16 point fuel correction
              - Color FED display
              - User defined button and background colors
              - Inverted "anti-glare" screen
as features, it seems like they are scrapping the bottom of the barrel just to find something "appealing" to say to sell this thing.

Proper ecu systems don't need no fancy FED display

i was running a VAFC on my 13.7 second passes... they are not actually pointless - it just needs to be dyno tuned...
