    should i?

is it a waste on get VAFC?i have some mods but something for now and i dont have the money to get a powerFC?

Just save up more for the Power FC. VAFC is an interim mod that will just put you behind in the quest to the the real deal.

Apexi made both Power FC and VAFC.

Power FC is a ECU while a VAFC only tunes for air/fuel and maybe vtec control depends on the model.

                What about Hondata?

Is there any gains in just tuning a stock car with Hondata?

I know this is a noob question - but is hondata just a cable that plugs in?

^Hondata is a full ecu - not a piggyback model (i'm pretty sure)

Basically, they take the engine control unit (the thing that controlls what your engine does) and replace it with something that a tuner can have (easier) control over.

The tuner can tune everything from ignition timing to air/fuel ratios and so forth - hence bringing out an engines full potential.

A VAFC can only tune/manage a few aspects of your engine.

Yes there is gains from stock motor tuned.

The ECU will need to be modified for hondata ready.

V-AFC will work but if you have big plans for the future i.e mod wise then best to invest in a Power FC or hondata.
