    MUGEN questions

hey guys i got a few queries which I'm having some trouble finding answers to on the net and forums about some Mugen products (for DC2R)

1 the Mugen intake system, what does a replacement air filter cost ? and is it even paper element? or is it like some pod's which have fine mesh.

2 the Mugen twin loop with B pipe cat back system, i would take it that it is designed for the JDM exhausts system which is 2 1/2 inch ? (plz correct me if wrong here) how does it fit up to the AUDM which is 2 inch ? is there a size difference in the flange or something because i don't think that would be good for flow?

Air filter for the Mugen Intake system is pretty pricey, around $200 I think? But it's a K&N type re-oilable design, so you shouldn't theoretically ever need a new one.

The Mugen catback would be designed for a JDM Header+cat which is shorter than the AUDM header+cat. I had this problem when I fitted my Toda header + JDM-length cat, to find there was about a 6" gap between my cat and my catback... woops! Driving around header-only FTW!!

Go buy yourself a JDM cat, or get the B-pipe cut down to size to fit. As freakygeek said, the JDM cats are shorter.

The mugen filter is a funnel, looks like a giant cone peice :P

apparently this shape as apposed to panel and pod filters is better?

just to clarify audm exh mani. is different length to jdm stock or aftermarket jdm exh mani., audm cat is different lenght to jdm, and cat-back is also different length.
therefore, if u dont want to cut and weld anything, u need to replace the whole exhaust system.
