putting HIDs in? I'm still deciding on what set to get. I was initially thinking of getting a Bosch set off ebay, but after doing a bit of research it seems that Bosch don't even make a HID kit. hmmm....

I agree with Mr.Thanh. bosch has never made HID kits..beware of it.

honestly, from my past experience with aftermarket bulbs on the DC5... I wouldn't bother.

I tried just about everything from your el-cheapo $10 paddys market types to phillips crystalvision/diamondvision @ about $120/pair. Nothing lasted longer than 3-6 months and I was EXTREMELY careful when putting the bulbs in. one would always blow out way before the other did and was difficult to diagnose as the bulbs never blew on the same side.

IMO save up and get HID if you're really after better lighting performance.

dave's giving me a lift to the dealer cos it's his last day at subaru on friday.
i'm hitching a lift in the new rex..
