instrument lights arent working

    instrument lights arent working

    My friend install my new head unit into my Dc2R,and the brace doesnt fit into the dash properly.When i changed through gears at high revs it made the headunit fall forward and pull on the instrument light wire and now im driving blind.could someone help me indicate which colour is the it, or could someone point me to some good but cheap autoelectrican in sydney?

    i replaced the fuse thinking that it was just the fuse but it isnt...


    can someone please help wanna go out for nye:S

    most likely your dimmer wire is shorting which blows your instrument lights and your tail lights.

    check which fuse you are replacing. CHeck anything to do with the stereo and the instruments/tail lights.

    and get all unused wires for ure head unit wrapped in tape so there is not exposed wiring.

      hrmms mine arent working as well also had something to do when my headunit screwed up like didnt work my dash lights didnt work.. my head units working now but my dash lights arent.. so im currently just using a bright LED to see my speedo at night =]

        have a look for a wiring diagram and work with that. Check all your fuses, tape aup an exposed wirers.

        If all else fails... take it to a pro

            yeah i fix my instrument lights
            there were wires which got pulled on from changing gears 2nd to 3rd and i played around with the wires...

            rayb3na_-it could be the wires that contols the brightness of dials on the righthand side of the steering wheel...i took my car to a autoelectrian and he told me it could be that...i hope that helps
