question about dc5r engine mounts

Hey guys just a question. Is it a common issue for dc5r and s for there engine mounts to wear easy ?? a person said on ozhonda that his engine mounts are f'ed on his ep3 and someone else said its common problem with ep3's and dc5r's and s's

depending wat you want to do with the car, there are options available to fix up this problem.

Mugen mounts have the same shape as stock (ie key type) but with stiffer rubber.

You have engine mount inserts, which can help stop the engine twisting

Innovative solid mounts, Tracy sport solid mounts, Alex Motorsport solid mounts to name a couple. These cause considerable amount of vibration, but thats the compromise u must make.

because of the placement (east west) of the fw engine, the rear engine mount has a habit of cracking after heavy use as the engine is flung nback and forth, that leads to the others eventually breaking.. its the same with most fwd cars.

Would an engine torque damper help to reduce engine movement/rocking of back and forth and aiding the stress on the rear engine mount ?

thats what they are supposed to do, but it's sort of a band aid fix.

ok i guess when i notice my engine mounts starting to make a noise, ill purchase some mugen engine mounts. Thanks for the info fellas
