hey guys im looking at upgrading my intake on my ep3 then later on down track when i have extra money saved ill purchase a exhaust system.

Is cai the way to go with k20a's ?? or this

hmm ive just got no idea n kinda hoping someone from this forum has got some good knowledge on intakes hehe. i just wanna get a good intake system setup so i dont have to upgrade later on down track for a better 1 thats all hehe

Just wanna say sorry in advance for my lack of knowledge and hoping me asking for help isnt of any annoyance to anyone hhehe

also would i notice some difference on intake alone ?? (would i lose power upgrading intake and leaving exhaust and headers standard?)

Ive been looking at intakes and cant decide which to purchase
Which would u blokes pick out of the 3 here
1. Ingen CAI
2. Mugen Intake
3. Gruppm Intake

I dont care about the cost. I just want to simply get the best one so i dont need to change later on down the track.

Mugen Air intake ftw. I just bought one for my dc2 =)

I'm going with a J's intake when the car is rebuilt. Along wih wrapped J's headers and 70mm titanium exhaust. And yes, before Chi says anything I am a J's whore.

I agree. Injen is probably your best bang for buck however being significantly cheaper than the other two.

Out of interest my car (dc5r) with gruppe m and 60mm exhaust was within about .7kW or something of another members car with 65mm exhaust and Injen CAI at a dyno day last year.

General consensus is that the Gruppe M and Mugen have better throttle response. The Injen has a dip in power just before VTEC engagement. The Gruppe M and Mugen seem to overcome this. All 3 have minor power increases of around 2-3kW. At the end of the day choose the one that suits your budget and taste. Unless it was a dodgy SRI or homemade CAi you're gonna get results that are to close to physically measure by feel.

Be warned, the Injen is super loud and easily defectable for noise.
