i used redline, it is good, i would go with 10W-40 for DC5R - even if it is tracked...

Use motul, never had a prob with them even on track and driving on street.

Have used Castrol Edge Sport before and that was good too.

"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horse power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Castrol Edge 5W-30 for street use...

The Valvoline 10W-50 isn't too bad for track either... Good protection, but you loose so much power!

I concur. I use 10W-40 Red Line in summer and 10W-30 in winter in my DC5R for track and street and I am satisfied with its performance. I am going to get an oil analysis done soon though to check whether the oil is performing well.

Redline might be overkill for the street though if you are not tracking? Perhaps using a quality semi synthetic, changed regularly, from a respected brand, such as Motul, might be more suitable. Be sure to use the correct viscosity for your car which should be either a 10W-30 or 10W-40 depending on the climate where you are.

Here is that site that tinkerbell mentioned to get redline and other top shelf oils for reasonable prices: http://www.performancelub.com/index.htm

I have not bought from that site before but wlee2 on this forums has and I think he was happy with the service.

How about 5W30? Is it suitable for both street and track use?

tried the castrol edge R and mobile1 full synth and didn't feel as good as the elf.

Hi guys....i did the change already to the Redline 10W-40 i felt a difference in response but all good news..i nearly forget to put the oil cap back on

As for Howie..after i did the oil change i went to a Honda Dealer to check my mate TypeS which his buying and we met up with a mechanic (my mate's friend) and we ask him the price for Honda Oil and later on when he finish he got us both a 10L tub of the 10W-30 Honda Oil For 20bucks!!! so i can definitely afford to do regular oil changes from now on.....
