90db taken @ 3/4 of the manufacturer's peak power rating revs.

I remember the DC5's stock exhaust just under the db restraints. And we all know how quiet that is.

yes everything will be illegal LOL including rm01a which is one of the quietest exhuast you can possibly have. So moral? if you have an aftermarket exhuast it might as well be a loud one, either way u will get done

Heres a funny one for dc5r owners. 3/4 the maximum rev is what they hold the revs at whilst they get a reading, but ......

max rev for dc5 is 7900k 8000k rpm. Which menas they should hold it in 6000 rpm.

but they cant, becuase the ecu limits the revs in stock tune to about 5000-5500. I wonder how they go about that, and i wonder if you can set a lower rpm based on a tuneable ecu and say that is the limit of what the ecu offers hence limiting the noise level.

no its 3/4 of max power revs afaik.. or is max power at 8000rpm on a dc5?

                    peak power in DC5R is @ 7400rpm so 3/4 is 5550.
the ecu cut out is at 5000rpm i think.

in neutral the cut out is at 5,000rpm...so how do they rev it past that to do the test?

DC2 = screwed! Max power is made at 7900pm which is like just under 6000rpm LOL

police or rta dont really take notice in the specifics such as 75% of peak power, the numerous times i have been defected, they generally say "hold the revs around 4000-4500rpm"

so to me it seems they dont exactly go by the rule book 100%, but when it comes to emissions, i'm sure they would be more strict
