    Tire Pressure

    I am sure this has been covered before, but its not in citr, and its most likely pruned in crsx.

    What do you guys use for tire pressure?

    Maybe list it in the order of

    car ::
    suspension mods ::
    tire size ::
    tire brand ::
    tire pressure F/R ::

    Thanks, im basically trying to figure out if semis require slightly more pressure or less.

      semis require less pressure as a rule of thumb

      low profiles (eg < 45 series) require more pressure as a rule of thumb

      ^^^pls correct me if i am wrong...

          Feck. How heavy is an ITR?

          I would run 048R @ 28psi hot on the Elise.

          BTW, borrow a pyrometer or irfrared thermometer and check the temps across the tyre as soon as you leave the track.

          If the tyres are hotter in the centre then your pressures are too high.

                            What about nitrogen? I used it last track day, kept pressures more regular but a bastard if you need to top them up a bit. Im going back to good old aussie air for this track day (tomorrow YAY)
