I agree that its a offset issue. BTW, why can't you change the rims? is it 2nd handed?

BTW, what BT/Westpac FYend party?? How much i'm not informed?? So, Suzuka-r's also in the same company as us??

Suzuka works as an advisor in chifley. =)

The rims are 2nd hand yes.. and its an issue with the tires being too wide.. as the offsets are the recommended offsets for the work rims (many others have the same range of offsets as well)

I'm not wanting to change the rims.. because I would still get the same ones at 18". I'm also not wanting to change the tires, as they my preference too..

      =)

            do it right

sell it and buy some new rims....what if it still rubs after pump + rolling?

              rubs the guard or coilover?

getting 225 tyres will solve the coilover issue.. maybe I'll get 225 up front =>

lol, if you adjust the height of the coilover, it will give you more clearance, or as you said, just use 225's. i had 8.5 +32 with no problems, same coilovers too.

Lol I was the first to offer some suggestions!

Could be a stupid question, but if you go to 225 aren't you in a way compromising some of the benefit of having a wider wheel in the first place (i.e. traction)?

Yes my fellow S15 owner =)

I would be compromising the wheel width slightly. However, i think its worth the sacrifice for clearance/no fear of tire shred etc

Hopefully apexi can give me enough advice to help me on my way.. =)

10mm isn't that much of a difference tho

225/40/18.... what rims do you have? sometimes the rim/disc type of the rim will change the clearance slightly, and also to a lesser extreme, tyre brands/models, even if they are the same size, one manufacturers sidewall may be a slightly different design, thus giving less clearance once again.

2x 5mm spacer (or 3mm.. cant remember) allowed me to clear my coilovers.

However, I can't believe that only 10mm made my wheels stick out so much!!

I will try to raise the car tonight (never done it before haha) and see what difference that makes

I have 235/40. Rims are work emotion cr kai +32 offset
