    Advice on wheel hops

I've been getting wheel hops that shudder bigtime on my launches. Whats the best way to reduce this?

    Thanks,
    Jay

        Energy suspension mounts help somewhat.

Lucky for you, Tinkerbell is organising a group buy & DIY day and posted up details. Have a look and get in touch with him.

True, but I found the mounts to be quite a tight fit - it'll take a lot more than the cable tie failing for them to fall out IMO.

If you got adjustable Sussy.. already

what i did at the dragstrip to stop the bouncing and a better launch was to soften up the front damper and stiffen up the rears..

but then again that is not desirable around the corner =P

i believe that should work.. but why are you launching so hard? and why not an option?

check your mounts... they may be already broken

                    here are your options:

                    -Engine mount inserts (Energy Suspension)
                    -Replacement mounts (Spoon, Hasport, etc)
                    -Coilovers
                    -Torque Damper (Spoon, J's Racing)
                    -Traction Bar (Full Race)

can't beleive no one has said tyres.

I had the same problem when i first bought my car. if you get some better tyres up front (with a softer compound) it should fix it. When i first bought my car, it had eco tyres.... drive it around for 3 hours, and the tyres where still stiff. Changed to some "performance tyres", and drove around for 30 min and they wern't like soft... but they did have some heat in them. Just remember, when you first buy some new tyres, either drive around abit, or attempt to do a skid with them. DON'T DRIVE HARD WITH THEM STRIGHT AWAY, as they still have all the grease and oil on them... and you'll slide across the road.

So instead of "bounchy bounchy" you'll have "smokey smokey"

you'll be accepted by the "fulli sik" community of Sydney
