Okay noob question... im getting an alignment done tomorrow would it matter if i had a full tank of petrol or not? Since these fluid levels, etc are all variables would it affect the balance of the car while being aligned ?

no use making sure the car is at perfect "average operational height" if you get it done by a guy that has got little idea besides maiking everything point to what the book says...
but that said - as long as you goto a good place, taking stuff out of the car that is not normally in the car is a good idea...
BTW - if you think the petrol tank is an issue, make sure they put 50kg of sandbags or similar on the drivers seat idf you want it to be a 'perfect alignment'... retired/ -

no, i recommend you get the alignment done with 1/2 a tank of petty...
and put a 50kg weight on the drivers seat...

they will set the car up to whatever specs you want - "road or race" - you just need to talk to the guy for about 10mins about your driving style and use for the car..
