Sorry If i sound like a complete idiot, but just needa get a few questions outta my mind. I am looking foward to purchasing a DC2-R. And sorry if these questions were answered before.


How much do DC2-R Recaros usually sell for?

99' is considered as 00' model?

When is 99' Model actually manufactured?

The difference between 99' to 00' model? Engine wise.

JDM front end HID's how much are they? (The kit, and light frames)

How much are JDM front end conversion usually cost, without paint?

Type-R Engine bay strut bar or aftermarket?

Type-R engine is a B18A? How can you tell when looking at it?

ill answer the questions that i know the answer 2...

they come stock with a strut bar in the engine... and in the boot and sway bars under the car...

the engine is a B18C7 (audm itr)

and umm yer hope that helps... im not 100% sure for ur other questions !

the jdm front end conversion costs about 3 grand fully painted... dc2r recaro's, i assume ur talking about the black ones... theyre about 3 grand a pair brand new.... right?

99' is considered as 00' model? They were in production in 1999-2001

When is 99' Model actually manufactured? Not sure, late 98'-early 99' would be my guess

The difference between 99' to 00' model? Engine wise. No difference

JDM front end HID's how much are they? (The kit, and light frames) Anywhere from $500-800 for headlights

How much are JDM front end conversion usually cost, without paint? Parts alone $1000-1500, excluding labour to fit and paint

Type-R Engine bay strut bar or aftermarket? Standard

Type-R engine is a B18A? How can you tell when looking at it? B18C, check engine number on the block

i've heard ppl being quoted anywhere from $4500 - $7500 EACH, brand new RRP from Honda Australia

I looked at my brother's friend's DC2-R.
B18C7 if i assumed correctly.

I heard the front end conversion is 1.5k for the parts from JDM Yard

Is it really not worth it to buy a DC2-R without its badge (near the gearbox)

you did assume correctly.

i think there's a guy on here selling a white type R with the JDM front. from the pics i saw, the car looks damn clean...sometimes its easier to buy one thats already converted.
