    Gear box issues

I'm new to the website, but I just bought a new 2000 DC2 Integra type r.

I tryed searching but didnt find anything, I just got the car, it drives well.. Until u give it, as soon as you let the vtec kick in the car sometimes will not gear down let alone even let you get into gear, or it sometimes let u gear down by revving down, and when I'm stopped at a set of lights it wont go into any gear, until I rev it a bit passed 2000rpm, then it lets me get into gears.

? What is this Synchro's or Selecting fork?

Also I've noticed if I'm shifting quick from 2nd to 3rd near 5-7500rpm's it does a slight grinding sound almost like a angle grinder, it doesnt feel like the gears grinding just for that second but it could be something else?

If anyone has any ideas please share thanks heaps!

first thing is to ensure you have fresh Honda MTF gearbox oil...

then after that we can trouble shoot for you...

make sure 2 depress the clutch fully :P

also as tink said g/b oil.. pref honda g/b oil for the itr...

anndddd if it does that in revers... which happens 2 me sometimes put it in a forward gear first before reverse.... but i havent tried since i got g/b oil changed.... 2 scared the noise makes me all deprest. lol

but yer... best bet is 2 get a full service done (clutch fluids, g/b fluids, new oil, filter ect)
