    Gear Box Problem?

    Hey guys,
I just bought myself a DC2R, and im loving every bit of it except this minor problem. I've notice that my gears crunch when i change from 3rd to 4rd gear. This only happens when vtec is engaged (only noticed when changing at 7500-8000 rpm). Usually its fine changing at 3000 up to 5000rpms.
Like i said, other than that, i love it.
What do you guys things the problem is? could it be the syncros? anyone else have this issue.

    cheers

changing at 8000 rpm into 4th? hmmm, is that above or below 200km/h???

anyways, does it go away if you double-de-clutch?

how many KM has the car done? does it have a service history?

8000rpm in 3rd isnt that fast tinkerbell, its around 130 isnt it

try changing a little slower than you do in the lower gears... give the synchros some more time... ??

yeh, its about 130 or so at 3rd gear.
yeh i'll try changing gears abit slower from 1-3. maybe its my driving skills?
i'll get it checked out at hannys later in the arvo. the cars engines done about 55kms. regularly services, oil change and new filter.

        cheers

Sounds like driving style to me.. Make sure you put the clutch all the way to the floor before you change gears, often people don't fully put the clutch to the floor before changing, it just becomes habit.

although i dont recommend you changing gears from 3rd to 4th at 8000 so rpm on the street.. lets just assume your on the track =P..

try slowing down your gear shifting and makesure your clutch pedal is fully down. alot of the times your hands shift faster than your foot pushes the pedal down, especially at high RPM or adrenalin just pushes you to go faster.
