I think I bought BKR7EIX-11 or something as 7 was something to do with the heat range or something...sorry I can't remember and I'm not very technical person either
i really don't understand how i can give feedback on how a colder spark plug feels...
they are not fouled, i have not felt a misfire, the car starts first go, just like the other spark plugs...
the basic theory behind running a "colder plug" is that they reduce chances of detonation, particualy in higher compression or high RPM type engines... sorry, i had assumed that you knew this (http://www.ngk-sparkplugs.jp/english...q03/index.html)
u mentioned colder plugs reduce chanced of detonation.. on the link it shows like the negatives of each plug..
When the heat rating is too low,
The spark plug temperature rises too high and induces abnormal combustion (pre-ignition); this leads to melting of the spark plug electrode that could cause problems such as piston seizure.
was that above comment for the Hot type plug right?
hot type i assume has a low heat rating? or was it ment to be high heat rating...

Dc2r? i thought it was mentioned already.. but the BKR6EIX11 should be right..
but i assume you can run BKR7EIX11 as well which is a slightly colder plug.
and also theres a sticker at the side of your engine i think i remmber it shows the type of plug to use. IMO BKR6eIX11 will suffice fine without gapping..

i dont want something that will "suffice", ill just go and get the recommended platinum plug instead.
know what i mean?
mm i thought the word suffice was correct in its use... but not sure now..
but the Plug i recomended the same as the one Tinks said is What your after..
Irridium is i think ment to be better than platinum.. in terms of performance but i think platinum had a longer life span.. not sure.. on that im sure its somewhere on the NGK website =P..

nah, wayne, you are spot on...
suffice means "meet your requirements"
but common parlance has lead people to feel it implies that it means sub-standard...
Zilli - the BKR6eIX is approprate.
and if this is the first time you are replacing them, odds are that you wont notice any difference anyways...
