NGK Iridium seem to be great plugs.
You aren't supposed to regap Iridiums due to the very fine electrodes. It states this on the packaging.

hey so does anyone know if there is a 'lifespan' of iridium plugs? coz i've had these ngk iridiums for a couple of years just sitting here at home. never been used. u think they'd still work fine if i put them in my car now?
condition of them is brand new as they're still in the box and been sitting in my drawer.

i.e. i "know about having Iridiums ie BKR6e11 "
i sent that page to adrian for analysis BEFORE my recent dyno tune, and he said there were OK (but contaminated with octane booster deposit), but best to get a colder heat range as i would be tracking the car more often...
but yeah - those plugs look fine to me probly last another 20'000km more i guess?Last edited by tinkerbell; 15-05-07, 01:42 PM.... retired/

sorry tinks my question was missleading.. or i think i just plainly didnt state my question well =P..
i know about the Iridium Equivalent of BKR6e11. the BKR6eIX11 or whatever..
my question was about gapping them to under 1.1 and Cam saying that it might damage the Electrode..
Because i goto run smaller than 1.1 gap.. my question was does it come in a smaller Gap ie lets assume this plug exist BLK6e9
i need a 9 gauge gaped plug for the irridium version ? Do you know any brands that will fit into a B series engine that is irridium and a 9 gap?
and i dont purposely use things that are not stated in the honda manual i know..
but if it doesnt exist would u Gap the BKr6IX11? to 9? orMemorable quotes
