Aftermarket Steering Wheels

im wondering who has installed aftermarket steering wheels that dont have airbags fitted in them? b/c i got a momo steering wheel for a present and it doesnt have airbags in them and i'm thinking it would b a waste not using them.
but i havent had them installed yet...
also would it b safer using them with harness?

i heard in older cars with airbags (not sure of date range) you can change your steering wheel to a custom one which also has an airbag and is ADR approved. For newer cars you cannot modify at all. Read on a forum recently, sorry cant remember source.

if u still have a good airbag currently in ur car, then it is actually illegal to replace that steering wheel with one that does not have an airbag.

there are some ppl that have installed it anyway, but u might want to think about getting defected or more importantly, your own safety...

p.s. what car do u have anyway? ITRs have Momo steering wheels already

itr 04 yeh i know....but the one i got was a present from mates and it looks sick
