Whiiiiiiirrring Noise

As said i get a whirrring / grinding / vibrating noise when turning left.
Thought it was a shot wheel bearing at first but on closer inspection i think its the rear right brake pad wear indicator.

Reason i say this is because on left turn if i take it normally it would make the noise but when i put the handbrake up ever so slightly 1 or 2 clicks the noise stops.

Am i right in thinking its my brake pad wear indicator or something to do with the pad in the rear.

take the wheel off and check the pad wear... doesn't take much effort and you will probably find out whether or not the brake pad is the culprit.

Sometimes you can even leave the wheel on....

Just look at the pad (you may need a torch), if there is no meat on the pad, time to get it changed!

I Also Have A Whirring Sound

sorry to 'hijack' the thread, but i also have a whirring noise of some sort that i can't figure out. and i have only noticed it since having a wheel alignment, balance, and rotation done, and then changing one front tyre to a brand new one.

when you drive under 60 km/h its normal, but i think i notice the whirring most at about 80 km/h... after about 60 km/h it starts off at a low key and as you go faster the pitch/key gets higher.

i'm stumped! and it may just be coincidental with me getting all that stuff done. at first i thought it could be the new tyre? but i've never noticed it before when i got all 4 tyres new... the whirring seems to be coming from the front but i can't tell where...

check your pads to see if any are worn.
My sound didnt really change at all was always constant
