    Car: DC2R

Noise: Coming from the rear, possibly passenger side. It sounds kind of like someone knocking on wood or metal, not too loud but kind of noticeable if you're listening for noises. It occurs usually when I go over bumps on the road.

Cause: I'm guessing something to do with my suspension although wouldn't mind some guesses as to what it may be. NB: I have a sub box strapped onto my rear strut bar which I know causes stress on the suspension when accelerating and braking heavily...

      it just dryness i think.
LOL. Maybe if you have an EF9 you can lubricate the clutch cable but all modern Hondas use a hydraulic clutch.

The bit you probably need to lubricate is the clutch release fork. It is covered by a rubber boot and goes into the side of the bell housing. It is the bit that the clutch slave pushes on to disengage the clutch.

Any aftermarket suspension parts? I would check the sway bar bushes and endlinks, and perhaps visually inspect the rest of the suspension bushes. Check everything for tightness obviously.

Yup I got that too, just keeps coming back. It doesn't annoy me anymore though.

Noise: Irregular idling and revving, car seems to rev to 2k then back to 1, and over and over... Only seems to happen once the car has warmed up

Cause: Some kind of sensor im sure

Weird noise: Exhaust/muffler vibrates like theres a hundred vibrators stuck in my muffler on a cold morning start. Specifically at 1800rpm, the vibration resonates through the entire chassis.

Probable cause: All rubber hangers are still where they're supposed to be, so guessing its a loose baffle plate/s in the muffler.

The plastic boot trim tends to rattle n knock occasionally, especially on bumpy roads. This happens because the trim (just above the rear reinforcement bar) knocks against metal. I just wedged 2 old polishing cloths between the trim and the metal on either side. No more knocking from boot.

Weird noise: Rattle noise coming from the passanger side speaker panel.

Probable cause: The panel is shaking as the speaker emits music and bass. Have taken to Honda many times and still the rattle is there. Thought about doing some sound deadening to get rid of the rattle but have never gotten around to do it yet.

But it seems like on hot days it doesn't occur probaly due to the plastic expanding in the heat and thus not rattling?

Weird noise: Rattle noise coming from glove box.

Probable cause: The glove box lid dosen't seem to firmly close and Honda did not have a solution to this even though its a common problem among the DC5. Will try soon to stick some 3M in between the lid and glove box body to fill up the gap.

Both of this has been happening for a while now and it annoys the crap out of me when im driving normally...Anyone know the solution to this problem?? Something from the front passenger side dash/golvebox/not sure where its coming from...creaks/rattle when i accelerate or go over bumpy roads. It sounds like rattling plastic and creaking leather or something...Any easy fix to this?? what the problem and is it a common problem?? my car only has 65k on the odo (2001 model)

                              Car DC2R-

Wierd Noise- sometimes a clicking noise when i release clutch pedal and a noise near the glove compartment

Probable cause - no idea on the clutch car came back fine from service, the noise near the glove compartment is probably wiring
