    Rattling noise on take off?

    Hey i thought i might ask some of you whether you might be able to help me indentify a rattle i get on take off not very loud (very faint acually) but i can still hear it???

    What might it be (i know i have a problem with my CV's could this be linked?

    is this "rattle" present at idle (in neutral off course) when you let the clutch out?, or push the clutch in?

    what car?

    i had a faint rattle one it was Input shaft Berring

      Nah only when engaging in first gear.
      Car is a DC2R (I know im probably just being anal but better to ask)

        Most probably exhaust. Either mid resignator, cat, or a part of your exhaust is hitting your chassis.

        I had the same thing happen to me. The steel wool inside my mid-resignator came loose, and was rattling around only on certain low revs (Ie: first gear take off).

          The springs in the clutch rattle when releasing into first gear and the revs drop too low.

          This vibration also happened in the early model S2000's.

          Its the clutch.
