    DC2R OBD1 or OBD2?

    are we obd1 or obd2 out of the factory??? Also the major differences with the ecu connections are?????????? furthrmore, would this also effect fittings on a cat converter?????

                i have no idea what obd we are, but i know that there is no sensor after the cat, so really it doesn't make any diff if you run the cat or not as far as the ecu is concerned.

                But im sure the epa would have a word or two about it.

                    hmmmmm... so i take it there are two sensors, one near the base of the header, the other in the cat??? is this correct therefore obd2. If there is no sensor after header obd1 correct???

                    So in theory, i should see two sensors, one in header the other in the cat...

                    Please correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks

                        Did some looking around - can someone answer this for me .....?

                        Apparently all US cars after about '96 have an OBD2 diagnostic connector (shown below) , whereas I've never seen one on my DC2R... where is it hiding!

                              Back when I was ecu shopping, was impossible to find the correct answer.

                              But yep it's OBD2A
