Honda DC5R - Coilover Choices

Hi ClubITR,

I just wanted a second opinion on coilovers for my car since the second hand set I received were gone.


I'm currently tossing up between:

Blitz Damper ZZ-R Coilover $1,299

BC Racing V1 Design VA Series $1,299

BC Racing BR Type RA Series $1,299

HSD Monopros $1,099

MCA Blues $1,598 (Only have heard good things about MCAs)

Hardrace H-S $1,645 (Abit pricey)


Slightly price conscious, I'm leaning towards HSD Monopros so I can put money into other things as well.

The car may also do some occasional track days in the future if that helps. Can anyone provide any feedback for the above. Thanks in advance!

I had HSDs that came with my DC2R which I've now gotten rid of and gone back to stock. Honestly they are cheap for a reason. Nothing special, useful if you just want to lower the car. Blitz ZZR are basically the same as BC just rebranded. I have ZZRs in another car and they are good value for the money. I don't think they are hard enough for track but as an upgrade from stock and street driving, they're ok.
