B Series MAP & TPS Sensors?

Just wondering if anyone can answer a few questions i have

Is the MAP and TPS sensors off a B18C7 (dc2r) the same as all B series motors (aka b16a/b18c2)

I am having a few issues with my dc2r and need to borrow a MAP & TPS sensor for my b18c7.

If anyone has these parts floating around and is willing to help me out, it will be most appriciated. I am willing to pay/buy beer/help work on your car for your assistance.

    thanks guys
    steve

FOR ANYONE INTERESTED, I REPLACED TPS AND MAP SENSORS, THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURED

REPLACED ENTIRE THROTTLE BODY(RE-USED OLD SENSORS) ARE THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED

Have previously had CEL on (in 2006), with MAP & TPS codes showing. Last week TPS code returned, but cleared the very next time i started the car.

The problem itself, driving in any gear (vehicle cold or NOT) when depressing the accelerator the very slightest (very light load) the car seems to stutter, like hiccups. The problem disappears with more throttle and WOT. Only occurs when first initiating acceleration in the slightest amount.

            Soulds like a tps problem.

Use a analogue(or digital with fast response time) multimeter and check for steady rise in voltage proportional to how much throttle you apply. Any jerkyness, sudden drop/rise in voltage is a no no.

you mean it hesitates as you apply the throttle then catches up when you give it more... ?

i get that now and then.. it seems to happen for a day or two then goes away.. ??

any recent engine work totti? a bump on the TPS can knock it out of range...

no tinks, too poor for engine work lol

Last time i touched it? only thing i can think of is when i degreased engine bay with high pressure cleaner

i will have a play with the sensors on thursday and let u guys know how i go

ok i have been more than a bit lazy to try and fix this problem

I found out last week TPS low voltage code has been logged in ECU memory. So all i have to do now is distinguish whether the TPS, ECU or wiring harness in between is at fault.

Reading the workshop manuals says TPS cannnot be removed from throttle body, meaning i will need to replace throttle body if the TPS is faulty. OEM is roughly $1200 lol, and Spoon TB is the only aftermarket product i have found that comes with new sensors (Skunk2, Edlebrock and BBK do not).

Just wondering if anyone has successfully managed to remove the TPS and replace it with a 2nd hand one? As long as i can remove the studs, im sure i could replace them with some screws.

                    Any thoughts?

yes, the manual is *kinda* misleading...

you can "replace/adjust" the TPS by cutting slots in the fasterners with dremel = fkn easy 4 tinkerbell

if you want to bring it to mine, we can test it and adjust it - it is very simple... take 30 mins

You can adjust and replace the TPS.

Just need to drill out the screw or get pillers and take them off. Just replace those with new screws.
