DC2R Alarm system question!

Hi guy,

I am now looking for car alarm system for my dc2r as my currently alarm remote is broken. (Not sure why, but not working by some how!)

I am think of viper 5706v or similar. Just want to ask anyone put viper on dc2r? For the 5706v, it has function keyless and remote engine start. Do I need extra bypass module for viper keyless and remote engine start?

if it has a transponder key you will need the bypass module..

hey buddy, i've got the exact same alarm system in my DC5S. Got the guys at Autobarn to install it for me. They said there'd be a problem but they bypassed it somehow
so no, it's not neccessary otherwise what you'd need to do is sacrifice your key and get another one which would costs hundreds... Also, you'll need the module to stop the car from starting if its in gear (otherwise youll hit a wall). costs an extra $100-$150 if i can remember correctly. it's easy to forget too, i've done it a few times and thank god i bought one or straight into the wall my car goes

it is possible to bypass without buying the bypass module, but it makes the car easy to steal as they use another transponder key in the transponder that reads the key..
may as well not even have an alarm if you go down that path..

But what do you mean sacrifice the key? And how much Autobarn charge for the alarm system with installation ?
