    DC5S oil filter

Hey guys, have always bought the Ryco Z79A for my old car running a D series. Have looked up online what to use for the DC5 Type S but didn't get any solid answers. On Ryco's own site, it doesn't even have a listing at all for the Type S K20Z1 engine but I can see the Type R K20A2 using the same Z79A whilst a Civic FD25 K20Z2 uses the Z547. So are there any DC5S owners on here using Ryco filters and if so, which one? I don't track my car or do anything crazy so would rather stick with Ryco as it's easily bought from Supercheap or Repco down the road without having to import expensive K&N/HAMP filters.

from memory I used the z547 previously.
If you plan on keeping the car, just bulk buy a few HAMP ones off amazon. OEM is also good.

You can use both the Z79A or Z547 on the K20Z1

The Z79A has a bigger body, so it will filter a higher volume of oil, but will also take a few hundred mililitres more than the Z547

          Thanks for the help guys

Have contacted Ryco too and they replied quite quickly. They said they will update their catalogue and the recommended fuel filter is the Z547.
