    Base DC5 Wheel Offset

    Hi Guys,

I have a base DC5 (not an R) and am looking to upgrade the rims/tyres on it. Couple of questions for you guys:

    1) What is the offset on the rims of a base DC5? (the rims look similar to a DC5R, but offset could be different? Any suspension differences etc. that may influence what rims can fit on a base DC5, compared to DC5R)

    2) I'm looking to go to 17"x7", not sure which offset will suit this car. Don’t want to run any spacers etc. Any suggestions?

I love the Type S rims (I think +45 offset?), but finding them is very difficult. Don’t mind the DC5 JDM ITR rims, but not sure about offsets.

    Thanks guys!

pretty sure the offset is +45mm for both base and R. the jdm dc5r wheels are +60mm so they sit further in from the guards than the stock wheels. i had a fair bit of rubbing with the jdm wheels when my car was lowered on spoon springs/koni shocks... no noise now with OEM though

Did you have any spacers with the JDM ITR rims?

I had +38 on my base
I have JDM DC5R wheels on my TypeS and it runs fine, but you can see it does tuck in more than stock.

since it's too hard to source a typeS rim, i'm buying a set of jdm dc5r rims for my 06' DC5 Base (luxury)

anyone know the offset of my stock rim? +45mm? (they are different to the previous luxury rims)

also, where can i buy some quality spacer?

The rim details should be engraved on the inside of the spokes, so you can easily find out by taking one off. Should read something along the lines of: S6M, 770B, 17x7JJ, 45, HONDA MOTOR

Not sure where to get the spacers though...

                  good offset calc here: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

Try TCCA motorsports. These guys are H&R suppliers and they'll be able to help you out.

You pay for quality imho and I wouldn't go tightass on spacers either.
