    CV Joint replacement?

    Hi guys,

When I pull a hard LEFT in my car it makes a sound that is similar to two metal plates rubbing together in the front RIGHT wheel. My guards are well clear and everything looks pretty normal down there. I spoke to my mechanic when I was in his workshop with my friend getting his car sorted and he said it would most like be a CV joint or something and best way to tell is to jack up the front of the car, turn the wheel left and spin it around, and if it makes this noise it would indicate just that and would require replacement.

I don't know much about these kinds of issues but does this sound like it could be the case? I will do what my mechanic suggested to confirm if this is the problem anyway. If this is the case, how much are we looking to replace this? And would anybody have a clue of what part numbers I could order from Amayama so my mechanic can get this replaced for me?

Could be pad or backing plate.. CV joint will make a click click click on full lock with acceleration..
