DC5 after jump start idle issue

Hey Guys,

I need help please. After 2 weeks of not driving or starting my dc5 the battery died. After few attempts at jump starting my car I finally got my car started. After like 10 or so seconds of idle it starting revving up and down and won't stop. I even tried taking it for a 10 min drive and still having the issue. I'm thinking maybe ecu needs reset or something?

My grumpem CAI is sucking air like crazy also and some how i feel like the aircon or fan is on inside the car when it's off.

yeah try reset ecu. i had this same problem and been advised its common in hondas. its one of the senors thats dirty or something that could be triggering it. makes the car rev up and down and your foots not even on the accelerator yeah? ive driven for 2hrs and its still idles funny lol. speak to josh from sleeping performance to get a better insight of things and he woukd be able to help you out

If you haven't driven it in 2 weeks and you are having hunting issues, it's probably the iacv. Open it up and clean it out.

My gruppM also sucks air quite loud but settles after a a few minutes. But no idle hunting. Never bothered me so far

I had this same problem when I purchased a used TB assembly from a wrecked DC5. IACV seized and there was no idle air adjustment hence the ECU was constantly trying to correct itself and overshooting each time forcing that hunting you're experiencing.
