Low seat rails for DC2R Recaros

I'd like to lower my Recaros in my DC2R by about an inch (~2cm) and have been searching for suitable rails. It appears however, that Vision who used to make these have gone bust.

So...my options are buy a used pair or remove the Recaro and see if I can fabricate a lower bracket for the slider to sit on. No idea if this can be done as I haven't removed the Recaros as yet.

Has anyone done this previously?
