    DC5R Squeaking somewhere..

Hey guys, today I drove over a small pot hole and now something is squeaking near the front left area of the car. I have no idea what it is.. Everytime the car vibrates, jerks or up shifts, theres this squeaking sound coming from the front left. Do you guys think it could be the front left damper ?

doubtful that its the damper, possibly a bushing....
best get it checked out asap...

it depends on what it is. do you have OEM or after market bushings in the front??
But always have something checked before coming to an assumption of what it could be.
Most workshops would not charge to have a look to see whats going on...

to check a squeak out we wouldn't.
Had a guy come in last week with an EK1 that had a squeak in the rear, turned out to be RTA bushes needed greasing, looked like hard race bushes...

depends on what it is causing the squeak, tell me about the pothole you hit, was it full of water???

There was some water.. It was about 4-5cm deep. I hit it at about 40KM/H. Im now also noticing a clunking noise when I turn the steering wheel and sometimes a clunk when I push the brake pedal.. What the hell is going on !

Have a look through the following thread:

Might give you an idea on where to start looking.

One way it might work would be to put the car up on stands, stick the key in and try turn the wheel yourself while a Mate checks underneath the car.
