    Drop In Cam Selection

    Hey guys, im after info on drop in cams for a k20. I was mainly looking at kelford 179a and drag cartel DIC. If anyone has any experiences with them or any other drop in cam for that matter, please feel free to share with me

    Prash ran Skunk2 stage 2 cams I believe. And now eltrix is running that very motor in his DC5R. Might be an idea to have a chat with them.

      i read alot of people had major pain with skunk2 cams in k20a.org
      timing chain slap etc

      end up with broken tensioner

                        Since you're the only one that has said drop in cams, maybe you could elaborate on your experience, power figures, anything...

                          Well I haven't really had long to experience them but from the short amount of time I had it for compared to stock. It idles a lot rougher and the vtec cross over is much much more agressive. Power figure wise, I can't say much yet as haven't really tested this out yet as I'm running into issues with other things at the moment. As for getting them installed and such have no idea so I cant give any advice or it or anything.

                            Justin, by rough idle do you mean it just feels aggressive or something or is it like the rough you'd refer to in a dying motor?
