Question about Power FC

when you disconnect your car battery... your ECU resets itself right?

Once you have a Power FC tuned... and say your battery runs flat... does this reset the power FC back to factory tune? Would you have to retune it?
Just a thing that has been floating around my head for a while. Thought I should ask.

only the factory one does,

of course the Power FC does not reset itself, that would be pretty silly...

FYI the VAFC, SAFC NEO etc, do not reset either...

Yes, the setting will be there unlike SAFC.

That thing works like any other ecu such as motec, they have a ROM similar to a PC ROM that stores data.

Whats the benefit of a dyno over road tune>? i know its better... but is there any particular reason?

really i've heard that road tuning is better than dyno tuning? Someone correct me if i'm wrong. what are the benefits of either?

I'm also kinda noobish to tuning... haven't had it done before, but will be doing so soon!

Mmmm Road tuning will be better than dyno tuning because most of the time the tuner will be on full throttle on dyno tuning , while with road tuning he will tune every possible scenario such as part throttle.

There are many reasons why road tuning is important such as decelerating, jerks, overtaking speed/torque during certain rpm.

Someone will be able to clear things up better than me so just wait

on a road tune there's no way to "measure" the performance of ur car.
So while it may feel better on the butt dyno, you can't really see any gains where as on a dyno you're able to see ur power curve and air/fuel mixture and tune accordingly to suit your needs.

Hey guys, another question about the Power fc. Can the PFC be transfered from different cars just by changing the looms? I know the e-manage can be transfered around just by changing looms. Any advise?

yes, but you might need an adaptor harness in some situations (eg 95 civic to 99 integra).

but obviously you CANT swap from say Honda to Nissan...
