Endless 6 Pot Compact Caliper System Kit can use 330mm 2-piece Rotor ?

    Hi guys

I am planning to buy the Endless 6 Pot Compact Mini Caliper - System Kit from PerfectRun Japan. I have already enquire to them if there is a Inch Up Kit availiable for the EP3R (since it will fit AUDM DC5R) but apparently there isnt anything they can get from Endless Japan. So I have come to a conclusion if I buy the System Kit which includes the 300mm 1-piece rotor to suit, would I be able to use a 330mm 2-piece rotor on this same system without any modification or do I need another bracket to suit the bigger rotor ?

My plans for the 330mm rotor was to get DBA to make it up for me using my existing rotor hat I have which is a 300mm 2-piece system but there is not much life left in it. Hence why I have thought about upgrading to something better!

So hopefully someone out there can help me out

    Thank You

    Stephen

Wait for one of the owners of this kit to confirm (Mugsee, eLtrix), but I've seen a few up close and it looks like you would definitely need to make up a bracket to fit a larger rotor, the way the caliper is positioned with the standard EP3/DC5 fitment bracket it simply will not take 30mm more rotor diameter.

330mm seems slightly excessive though, I never found the heat capacity of the 300mm rotor to be less than adequate for short 15 minute track sessions. Though the stock single piston calipers are pretty poor, I can understand wanting to replace them.

My Harrops came with a custom bracket made by Harrop but I believe Tom is right, a custom bracket will be needed as over 300 will not suit the other bracket

Custom bracket will be needed to extend the caliper outwards to accomodate the larger rotor.

You'd need to make up a custom bracket to fit a rotor that big unfortunately

I'm on the 'you need custom brackets' bandwagon to fit a 330mm rotor. No way those rotors fit on a system designed for a 300mm rotor without any custom work.

J's do an inch-up kit but I'm not sure if this is for the JDM DC5R only or whether they also have one for an EP3R. Might be worth an investigation as the calipers are basically the same.

I have been looking into Alcon and AP Racing due to price wise with the three brands ... tossing up whats good and price for these. So still doing my research on these

What size wheels you intend on running? What will be the main purpose of the car? This will determine what brakes you require.

17". Purpose will be for track use, the setup I currently run (300mm 2piece rotor, braided lines & endless ccrg pads) is not enough for my use. I am aiming for 4pot/6pot mini using 330mm rotors or similar. Pricing comes down to a little issue as well, and brands are fairly limited between Endless, AP Racing, Alcon.

Also the current setup I have is worn out from track use ... rotor has been worn down to 23mm (which is the minimum rotor thickness for DC5), so will only have 1 track day left in them before the rotors are not safe to use for excessive braking. Hence why I want to upgrade to something better ...
