Recaro PRO SPG fitment into EP3R

    Hi Guys,

will be grabbing a Recaro Profi SPG fixed back bucket seat tonight for my car Wondering if i would need any sort of aftermarket rails for it in order for it to fit my car (EP3R)? what im trying to get to is being able to use the stock rails on the EP3 for this seat?
the SPG Recaro has come off an S2000 and the rails are provided not sure if that would be any use to me..

Any insight into what i need to do would be much appreciated

I believe you'd need side mount rails as they are fixed back seats... won't work on your OEM recaro rails afaik. Sorry mate

If the s2k rails' side mounting bracket is removable, you may be able to retrofit it to your recaro rail.

Just found out i can actually remove the side mounts from the s2k rail as they are bolted down, does anyone know if the side mount rails will bolt up directly to a stock EP3 Recaro rail? So using the height adjustable side rails on the base of my stock ep3 rails

You will need rails that are side mounted just like the rails you received with the purchase of the seat... Ep3R stock rails are bottom mounted. PM Perry on these boards as he is running Recaro SPG as well in his EP3!

I'm not 100% sure If you can use the stock rails with the side mounts as the mounting holes could be different. You can rather get after market recaro rails which is expensive and the rails won't be low or get bride side mount rails less $$$ which gives you a decent drop in height or buddy club rails. I chose bride as I didn't want my seat height tooo low.

the seat came with a S2000 Recaro rail, unbolted the four bolts on the base of the sidewall rails of the PROFI SPG fixed back bucket seat, and to my surprise they lined up perfect with my OEM Recaro Rails from the EP3R. installed without any dramas
