New throttle body new problem DC5R

So I just got a eLtrix's throttle body and installed it. Now getting a reading of tps which isn't spitting out any MIL lights. Instead I'm idling pretty rough. As in, I'm rev hunting between 1 and 2k rpm. I.e. jumps to 2k for half a second, drops to 1k for half a second.

    Any thoughts anyone.

New gaskets and stuff? Though, I'm not sure a leak can do that... I suppose if IACV can cause rev hunt, a leak may be able to as well though?

Have you checked for vacuum leaks and reset the ecu?

Would also recommend resetting the ECU if you haven't already.

          as above:

          vac leak.
          reset ECU

but also check & adjust throttle cable

How does one reset the ecu? Haven't done so yet. I didn't think I needed to. Someone enlighten me please. Vac leaks probably not there. I've plugged everything I unplugged: the two coolant lines into the TB, the iat sensor in the intake duct, it's vac reference, map sensor, evap sensor, tps, idle control valve. Throttle cable

disconnect the battery resets the ECU - and you should use the search to find obvious answers to such simple questions:

did you replace all the gaskets?

is the check engine light coming on?

Thanks mate. Yeah, I commonly use the search function but my problem is usually bad search terms which lead to nothing relevant coming up. Gasket on the throttle body was scraped off and replaced with a new one. No MIL light after change.

Okay. Disconnected both the battery and ECU fuse for 15 minutes. Reconnected them both. Started car. Rev hunts continuously for the next 20 minutes. Doesn't settle down. I am completely gobsmacked now.

Check iacv. You will have to remove it using a torx screwdriver. Clean it out with brake cleaner. Make sure it spins freely. Re install.

While you are at it. Make sure the butterfly is opening up and closing smoothly and completely too. . Clean that area out as well.

Ok. Spent the past few hours trying ot remove it without a torx head. The torx head screwdrivers I have at home are six edged. The one on the IACV is 5 edged. >< I'm going to buy a head tomorrow morning.

Use a set of vice grips to get them
Off. . You can replace the nuts with regular ones later.

It has no edges. It is a circular head with no nut. Hence can't
