    JDM Cat

    Hey all

i have a set of JDM DC5r headers that'll be getting put on the car shortly (awaiting jingers for swaybar). anyways... i just got to thinking. when most car get imported from Jap, they change a few things on the car, such as headunit, tyres and the cat..... i was just wondering why they change the cat. Is it because it is less restrictive than the AUDM one... am i going to need to change my cat on my headers to pass emissions and stuff?

    thanks for your help all

From memory, you will be fine, whether you have JDM cat or AUDM cat. I checked this out when looking at spoon or mugen headers for a DC5R a few years back. I should look up some hard evidence for you on CRSX...

im running a JDM cat. i dont know how much difference it makes with emissions.

the JDM DC5R is still a LEV (Low Emission Vehicle), which means that the cat is still doing its job.
