    Squealing from DC5 wheel

Had my car serviced at my local NRMA (I don't recommend them) and ended up needing new brake pads. There was a clunking noise when I applied the brakes etc, ended up taking it to a local shop that specialized in Honda's, ended up being something wrong with the drivers side brake pad regarding its size, I think it was shaved down a bit for clearance, noise was gone - finally! Anyway now when I'm driving I'm experiencing this noise after 2-3 mins of driving and its always there: http://www.4shared.com/music/sCC8amzo/Memo.html

Any mechanics on here or others that'd have an idea what it could be? I took it in again and the shop suggested it may be the clips that are on the caliper and hold the brake pad in place, something along those lines, and he believes as the car heats up and expands, the clip is causing the squealing noise so I need to either replace brake pads or import/fit the clips. Bit sick of pouring money into this thing at the moment so any ideas would be appreciated - the mechanic wasn't 100% on the clip thing but thats the only thing he could think of - they'd taken the wheel off, inspected the caliper etc and couldn't find anything wrong.

Mate... What's up with this car? Either you're paranoid or its one headache after another.

Does it increase with speed? Only when braking? More info would help.

Just throwing this one out there.. Possibly a wheel bearing?
Why don't you take the car to Top One if your in Sydney?
To me.. Sounds like a wheel bearing

What do you mean paranoid? You can't hear the squealing in the video? It's plain as day. Only issues I've had to date were the engine mounts, suspension and a genuine brake pad not being fitted to correctly - I didn't make the engine mounts, suspension or brake pads nor did I fit them, Honda & NRMA did. The volume increases the longer I drive it, not necessarily with speed and when braking it just goes to a higher pitched noise then cuts off as the brake clamps tight. What kind of price would I be looking at to have a wheel bearing replaced?

I drive it as a daily on Sydney roads, my DC5 build obviously finds it hard to cope with that.

The clunk is fixed, there's no clunk in the sound clip.. as mentioned it was the brake pad.

It could very possibly be the brake pads brackets, they could be damaged by your mechanic causing it to squeel as it is coming to contract with your rotors. OR the person who put your pads in didn't put it in correctly (i had this on my very old car) some mechanic didn't put it in properly ( forgot who) and I took it to another place, they just took it out and put it in again and the squeels were all gone.

Rotor could be warped or. Glazzing on the pads as wasn't bedded in probably!
