Which Springs?

Hey guys,

Im looking to get some new springs for my dc5r for when my new bigger wheels come in. My car is pretty damn low at the moment (just under 2 fingers at the front and the rear is hanging at least one finger over the tyre). At the moment it has piece of sh*t king springs (thanks previous owner ).

What im after is a quality lowered spring that isnt quite as low as the bogan king springs i have in there now (exhaust hits on almost everything) but is also quite comfortable. I would go something like the spoon progressive springs but find them a little stiff and bumpy. I am concerned about performance but dont track my car or anything so I want a nice drop in height while remaining comfortable on the street. I found these tanabe's that sound suitable.

Does anyone know much about these springs or can recommend something? BTW Im not looking for coil-overs at this stage I just want a comfortable lowered spring.

I had GF210 on my JDM suspension and they were quite good. A bit higher at the front than your current setup and quite a bit higher in the rear.

I had KGMM before and preferred the Tanabe.

i agree.. good for street not so much for autokahana. definately an improvement over stock. except for highspeed (i.e. 140+). i think the oem one seemed more stable and the steering wheel felt a bit stiffer at that speed.

if your car doesnt see the track, then stick with springs and you'll be alrite.

They will definately be just for street use. How low are the whiteline springs. The two tanabe springs I am looking at are 1.2" NF210 or 1.5" DF210 (lowered over standard). These seem quite reasonable.

i had Eibech springs before my coilovers... they seemed to do the job.

Do you think that a 1.2 inch drop from standard will look okay with 18's or would a 1.5 inch be better. My car has been lowered since I got it So dont really know what 1.2 inches lower than standard will look like with 18's.

edit: Just had a look at a whole lot of threads/pictures on clubrsx. Im going to go with the tein S tech.

i'm also looking to buy some springs,.. the thing is that some springs are made for JDM suspension (JDM is slightly lower then AUDM) such as the spoon progressive springs.. I'm just wondering is all the other manufacturer springs made for JDM suspensions..? eg: Eibach, Kings..?
