So I bought two used red recaro imitation bucket seats for $50 WITH rails (biggest bargain ever) for my DC2 VTI-R and they fit perfectly. My issue is with the recliner mechanism on the driver's side bucket seat. The teeth have been stripped so it doesn't lock in place when I need it to. I want to know if there's a way to fix it and if I could possibly transplant the recliner mechanism from the OEM Integra seats to the aftermarket seats. From what I can see, I'd need to do some chopping up from my old seat, but if there's another way to fix the seats I'd like to explore that avenue before I do anything rash.
If its not possible, can someone suggest a place where I can get my seat fixed at a cheap price in Western Sydney?
