Will DC5R cams fit on a base model DC5???

Hey guys,
I own a base model dc5 integra (2002)
I have barely any mods done to the car besides my pod and mainly exterior mods.

Does DC5 type r cams fit on the base model DC5? If so, what is the difference it will make and will you have to get your engine tuned accordingly.

There is other benficial mods before changing cams. Have you done a full exhaust system?

The short answer is yes, it has been done by a bunch of guys in the US. Do a search on K20A.org. There are two options, using the K20A2 cams in a VTEC killer configuration ie. only the high cam is used all the time, or using mixed and matched A2 rockers to get a pseudo 3 lobe VTEC. Both options require a lot of mechanical knowledge and Kpro and they're only worthwhile if you get the bits cheap.
