Brake Fluid Thread

I know I have asked this question before on clubrsx, but can't seem to find that thread.

Well the time has come for me to change my brake and cluthc fluid and was wondering what kind of fluid you guys are using.

I have heard ATE Superblue is awesome but have only found one place that sells it a $66 a liter.

The other option is to order it from the US 3L @9.95 plus 63 shipping is is about 120 for 3 liters.

So what is everyone else using. I have heard that Motul 600 has to be changed every 3 months.

So anyone have any sources, I know one person is using trust fluid, coukld they elaborate on where they got it from.

Are you actually going to be tracking your car any time soon john? if not just use ordinary Dot 4 fluid and change it regularly

Price you pay I guess, I've never had a problem with SRF and I've used it for years. It's changed fairly regulary though...

well if i remember correctly john hasn't tracked his car as of yet, so IMO i wouldn't bother paying $50-90 per litre brake fluid when the vehicle is only occasionally street driven.

Good point and I totally agree, there's no point paying for something you're never going to use.

Steve I'ma gettin to the tracking part shesh , I just need to get some decent tyres. But the garage queen does need some new brake fluid so i was just trying to see what my options are.

i use Motul RBF600 at $25 per 600ml.

it is pretty good.

i'm using the elf one last time i went to winton and it does its job!

I only use endless RF-650. It is the top of range brake fluid from ENDLESS in which is widely used in the racing catagories such as: F1, WRC, Paris-Dakar and Gran Tourimo. It is highly recommended for race meetings for its high boiling point and durability.

Standard - Equivalent to DOT 5
Dry Boiling - 323°C
Point Wet Boiling Point - 218°C
Suggested Price - $60 / 500mL

Non-silicone based brake fluid

Call Centrax if you are interested. But as others have suggested there is no point spending a heap of money on something you aren't going to make best use of.
