95% of new car battery chargers start trickle charging once they have finished the main charge.
it is not new/exciting/innovative/"something you have to have"...

trickle charger is only good for those who dont drive there cars often, or just want to make usre the battery is always fully charged.
You would be surprised how often you use it once u get one.
If you do get one make sure its go a display which shows you the battery charge/Oo ___H___ oO\
