Mega loud 3" Exhaust

Hey All. Anyone have any experience quietening down a 3" exhaust on a dc5?

I bought & installed skunk2 megapower and is quite a bit louder than originally anticipated, atleast for road use.
Would just swap it out with a smaller exhaust but spent a bit on the skunk2 as is. Was thinking of adding a resonator but not sure where it can actually fit. Any past experience greatly appriciated =)

Silencer? Mugsee has one in his 3" (yeah he does ) and it quietens it down a bit.

Man 3inch is pretty big for NA application. If you are keen, use a big oval muffler.

lol, can understand this, i just bought a megapower r, the 2 3/4" version, its a rude boy exhaust, lots of loud!
can only imagine what the 3" would be like

This is all too apparent now LOL.

I've got the silencer on there now and still setting off alarms when accelerating past parked cars -.-

the desirability of teh oval muffler is the multiple chamber design:



so don't get a 'straight-through' oval muffler...

Im currently running a 3" exhaust with hi flo car, hot dog resonator and straight thru oval muffler and yep its pretty dam loud. Will be getting a new exhaust put on hopefully this week with custom 24" long resonator something wide enough to fit in the exhaust tunnel and large offset oval muffler. hopefully it will quieten things down atleast below 3500rpm

Yup. Silencer does help, don't get me wrong. And I do love the note esp WOT. Just getting too much unwanted attention though.
thnx! any brand of oval mufflers i should keep an eye out for or has worked wonders in the past?
