    Weird Clinking Sound

    Hey Guys,

I'm not sure what's wrong with my Car but anyways here's the Problem. When i put the Gears in reverse or First gear and i over steer to move forward or back just a little... i hear this loud "CLINKING" noise.

So if anyone knows What's wrong with my DC5R please help!!!

    Cheers
    Michael

is it ONE clink or more than one?

    in each direction?

ie one clink forwards, and then once clink backwards?

Once clink after you put it reverse & Over steer backwards, Then sometimes another clink after you put it in first gear and steer back, This happens when i steer very fast. Doesn't happen when i steer slow??

I am guessing u get these clunking noices due to the springs popping. This occurs when the turn bearing at the top of the coil that allows the spring to move is getting stuck.

This can be solved by lubing the turn bearing with some grease hence allowing the spring to move freely without having a clunking/popping noise.

Edit: Found a link on ClubRSX that gives u a good overview of the issue and how to fix.
