    Buddy club N+ DC5 problem

    hi,

dunno if this is covered but my car is now running -4degree camber with the buddy club n+. no camber bolts nor camber plates.

my question: is it possible to adjust the camber manually by loosening the top bolt of the strut and moving towards you and back? (buddyclub n+ has top slotted hole to adjust camber with oem bolt, can achieve long ranges of camber)

wont that cause the camber to slip over time?

my alignment person said if i adjust camber like that, it will cause to slip to max camber after driving in bumpy roads or holes or even track.

my main goal is to achieve 2.5-3 degrees.

Buddyclub n+ do not come.with camber tops so you cannot adjust it from the top. you will have to take off the wheel and adjust it. Its hard to explain. Someone on here might be able to tell you clearer. ill try to post a picture later. also my frony coilovers almost maxed out and its only got -3 degree camber ay the front

how exactly do you adjust front camber for ep3/dc5 apart from the top mount?

like i said, buddyclub n+ are slotted camber adjustment. u can use oem bolts to adjust manually without using camber bolts nor camber plates.

btw, my main concern is that over time it may slip and my camber will be different. not worrying about adjusting it manually

That top bolt at the bottom of the coilover adjusts it for you. Im not to sure how to get it accurate but a tyre shop should be able to adjust it. I will be adjusting my soon once i raise the car a so i can run less camber. -3 is a bit too much for my liking. another opinion is to get camber tops for them

i assume this applies to all coilovers right

another possible explanation of my alignment problem has appeared. now im not even sure if i need a new knuckle...

Dc5 and ep3 run similar or same sussy's. LIke what you mention camber can be adjusted via camber bolts which a few of us have already. Keep in mind Camber plates slip as well sometimes.
Hau: I've did a bit of research already in finding camber plates for n+ it's pretty much impossible to find. For $400 odd dollars hoping the purches fit as well you might as well get a new sussy.

Not all coilovers are like the n+ you can get coilovers that come with camber tops.

And yes perry youre right. Its not worth it to buy camber tops for them. i know that todd makes them for the n+ for the dc5/rsx not too sure about the ep3 though

Shouldn't slip if they are torqued to exactly FT nm. You can get some white marker and make some reference points on the shock bracket against the bolt to see if they slip overtime.

Man -4, sounds like a very low car. I do recommend at least front camber bolts and rear camber arm to get it right.

I don't know how you are getting -4 degs camber in the front. I had the N+ and maxed out the top hole and got -3 degs.

I don't think you can over tighten the bracket bolts. All the shops I have seen get the rattle gun in there and fire away.
