The stock exhaust will restrict everything from the header
To a degree yes...
But if you are talking about changing one, the header will give a bigger gain and still the car will remain quiet with the stock exhaust.
But the stock DC2R exhaust won't prevent you from making reasonable gains with a header.

i would of loved to done both the headers and cat-back at the i dont have enough money so i will do things slowly. i will keep the stock exhaust as it is pretty quiet and when a good exhaust comes along and is in the price range, i will snap it up. i guess it will be good to see the outcomes of each mod as they come.
I think stock dc2r b-pipe is restrictive, look at the connection between the cat and the b-pipe. It produces too many back pressures
I've read on Autospeed where they replaced the piping just between the end of the headers and the cat and they had dyno runs done before & after and also acceleration tests where it proved to be quicker...so maybe that can be an option.
I've got a link at home where it states what/how they did it and also the tests they did afterwards

Also a hi-flow cat for $250... which was also on car for 2000km's (I bought the cat for $400). Let me know if you want!!! Because you reallyyyy do need an exhaust. Source a axel back from somewhere!
