1998+ DC2 front license plate relocating/removal of front plate

    Hi everyone,

i tried to remove my front plates today with no luck ... front bumper support bracket and screws have given in due to age and neglect.

I'm going to take the bumper off and remove the plates ... sigh (suggestions on how to remove easily would be great!)

Does anyone know if front license plate relocating is legal in victoria? i'm tempted to buy an after market kit from the US for cheap, rather than crafting up my own brackets..

Alternatively does anyone know where i can find factory replacement bracket/screws for cheap?

    Help is much appreciated!

    cheers Jon

bumper is fairly easy to remove, using common-sense (and heavy pressure on the upper Phillips head screws - dont strip these babies!)

the easy why to fix is to create a stud:

put a M6 x 25mm bolt through from the inside of the bar, add a Nyloc nut to it on the front side, attach the plates, then another Nyloc nut on top...
