Does it flash and turn off or stay on?

Id try simply resetting ecu. By d/c battery n report back if
    It does it again.

Sounds weird... The only time i had that was when my car had kpro and wasnt tuned.. Sometimes if i hit redline i see the cel flashhin like no tomorrow. Havnt had it aince. But ur car is stock... I guess u cant even plug in a obdII diagnostic as it flashes..

if its flashing it means ur engine is knocking which is not good

first and foremost are u using the right fuel- premium 98?

check the coolant and make sure its not running hot.

other then that.. it could be something has failed....is it making any distinct noise?

its always had 98 is it, the coolant is better than fine and there are no noises, and its done it ever since i got it, my mech checked it over for engine knock a few times and its all good

but now i hav an issue of where the hell is the ecu fuse???
my manual say behind the glovebox, seriously if there is a fuse there its in camo, i cant find it

Try making sure both o2 sensors on exhaust are screwed on too? Perhaps previous owner had aftermarket exhaust and when they went back to stock.. Disnt screw in properly?

That won't happen with the stock ECU though.

thats weird, they were built to kick in 5500rpm, all i can think of is the ecu has been flashed or its got aftermarket cams in it
